Chapter 27

(Subtitle: Revenge!! )

Vasilliki Private Island

The sun was setting in the horizon, it warm rays were reflected by the ocean waters. The wind carried the smell of the sea through the air 

The waves crashed onto the shore and retreated repeating the process as it has done for millions of years

Baby crabs scampered about on the golden sand of the beach as the trees danced with the wind

So serene, so calm

Deeper into the island amongst the trees was a luxurious  house erected on a hill. It was the only house on the entire island

Isolated amongst herbal trees and plants 

Inside the house were just two people. One lay gas asleep on a bed in one of the rooms with her hands and legs chained 

Her face was pale as shivered in cold, she had dried blood on her head and on the side of her lips, with her temperament running high 

The other person in the house was getting ready to spend the night with his new toy, his last attempt was a disaster 

And the scratches on his once smooth face reminded him of how a small woman beat him up and had him running with just his drawers on 

He cringed each time that scene replayed in him head. That was the most embarrassing time of his life

All of the previous girls he had been with were either too weak or scared to fight back, so he always had his way easily with them

But Giovanna was just to quick and crazy with her attacks, catching him off guard with each blow, like a feral cat

Dressed in loose fitting sweats, Vasilliki strode towards the room Giovanna was kept

To keep her feistiness under control he had his guards chain her to restrict her movements and be more under his control

He opened the door of the room and stepped in shutting the door behind him

Giovanna immediately rose from sleep at the sound of the door being shut 

The sudden quick movement made her dizzy and she held her head weakly

The metal chains clanked as she moved, her eyes were droopy as her body was too weak from the fever and head injury 

“You look calmer today•••did the chains or the injury do that” Vasilliki continued  “I would have cleaned your room before we get busy but after what you did to my face, I think you deserve it”

“If you behave this time then I’ll treat your wounds okay?” 

Giovanna stared blankly at him as he talked not understanding a single word he uttered in Greek

She watched as he walked over to her, grabbed a handful of her hair and began sniffing it

“Hmmm soft hair but lacking shampoo, your hair’s greasy you need a bath••••hmm maybe you’ll take a bath before we get busy•• I can’t wait to eat your•••your neck needs by kisses and bites”

Vasilliki touched her neck but retreated his hand the moment he felt how hot her skin was

“F@ck you’re burning up, did you get a fever?” Vasilliki felt her temperature and knew her fever was up the charts

“Get up you need to take some medicine before this becomes pneumonia•••can you walk?•• hang on I’ll carry you” Vasilliki said as he unlocked the chains from her hands and legs 

He then picked her up in a bridal style and headed for his lab

Giovanna remained calm during the entire process, soon they reached Vasilliki’s state of the art lab

In this super high tech lab, many medicines have been concocted. The lab smelt of what every other medical facility always smelt of  ‘Disinfectant’ plus the smell of herbs 

In this room, Vasilliki did his research and discovered new treatments for different illness, particularly neurological issues

He placed Giovanna on a chair before walking up to a set of bottles, filled with medicines made from herbs

He picked up one and then poured a tea spoon full onto a spoon before walking back up to Giovanna 

“Open your mouth”

Seeing him coming with a spoon Giovanna opened her mouth 

He put the spoon in her mouth, but the moment the bitter liquid touched her taste buds, Giovanna made to spit it out but Vasilliki placed his hand on her mouth to prevent her from spitting

She weakly struggled for a while before reluctantly swallowing the mixture

She was filled with resentment and hate

How dare he force that bitter stuff down her throat

Just then the sounds of a helicopter was heard, outside the trees moved violently as the helicopter lowered onto the island 

“Huh who’s that” Vasilliki peered through the window watching as the helicopter was landed 

He wondered who could be the unexpected visitor, the island was his secret place, no one knew here except his cousin

Could that be his cousin, but why the surprise visit?

As this questions were running through his mind, Vasilliki didn’t notice he had let his guard down and an angry little woman was behind him seeking revenge 

Just then she jumped onto his back and grabbed the flesh on his neck with her teeth

Vasilliki was thrown off guard and he fell to the floor with her still bitting him

Wait what was happening?, wasn’t this woman weak and down with fever?… where did she suddenly get the strength to attack him

Vasilliki didn’t have time to think of the answers to this questions, he had to get this crazy woman off him

With much struggling he grabbed her hair and began pulling it, the pulling triggered a violent headache for Giovanna 

He dragged her off him by her, then slapped her, this weakens her and when he found the opportunity to escape from her, he took it and ran out the lab shutting and locking the door before breathing a sigh of relief 

Only then did he suddenly realize he had just locked that crazy woman inside his precious lab

With how crazy she is, she could destroy his materials and hard work.

Just then he heard the sound of glass shattering from inside the lab, he wanted to go back inside to save his work but the woman was voilent and crazy, she could kill him.

He soon remembered he had a surprise visitor who could be his cousin. His cousin was an expert  fighter and should be able to deal with a little crazy woman 

With this thought in mind, Vasilliki raced out of the house to welcome his guest

Adrastos and Jesse Lee alighted from the helicopter just as Vasilliki came out running from his house 

“Big cousin so nice to see you, what are you doing here?” Vasilliki asked

“Where’s she?” Two words left from Adrastos thin lips

“Who?” 

“The girl you bought where is she?” 

“How did you know about that? Are you keeping tracks on me…. Never mind that girl is a physco , she’s totally crazy and she’s destroying my lab ..come help me get her out of there” Vasilliki explained 

Adrastos glanced at the bruise on Vasilliki’s neck and the scratches on his face 

Without uttering a word he walked forward with his long legs, seeing this Vasilliki ran ahead to show him the way while Jesse Lee followed behind as always

“Here it is she’s inside” Vasilliki unlocked the door of his lab and urged Adrastos to go in

Inside the room a layer of shattered glass lay at Giovanna’s feet, she had smashed several bottles and tubes 

She held a bottle and was just about to take a sip out of its content when the door was opened

She turned her head to glare at the intruder when her eyes met his 

One second, two seconds, three seconds….their gaze was locked

Those black orbs, they looked so familiar , like she knew them from somewhere. It was like those eyes were pool of water and they were drawing her in

The bottle dropped from her hand as she stared at him

Adrastos traced his eyes up and down his little trouble maker body

Only the gods know how troubled and agitated he had been this past few days, he couldn’t get any sleep and stayed up all night worrying about her 

Wondering if any bastards were trying to have  their way with her, after all she was petite woman how could she fight back

The rage, the fear, the anticipation… he had never felt anything like this, especially for a woman

But she made him experience som many emotions at once 

After so many torturous days of longing and worrying for her safety, he finally found her

But she looked much different from the last time he saw her 

She’s grown more skinny than the last time he saw her, her head was bleeding, her face was nearly transparent and her eyes were so dull

She had little bruises on different part of her body, his heart ached seeing her this way.

It felt like a cat was clawing at his heart making it bleed.

Subconsciously, Giovanna’s legs moved forward and Adrastos watched as she walked slowly up to him while staring straight into his eyes 

Her eyes clouded with tears and like a little child she walked into his arms and began rubbing her head against his chest 

It made Adrastos heart even more, he blamed himself for not protecting her enough

“I’m sorry” he mumbled wrapping his big arms around her small body. He friended feeling how hot her body was, she was also shivering 

Drip Drip

He could hear the sound of blood dropping from his heart as it ached harder, the feeling almost suffocated him

Outside the lab, Vasilliki was confused as to why no screaming or grunts were held 

Did the crazy woman stab her self , what’s going on in there 

He peeked into the room curiously only to be met with a shocking scene 

The crazy woman was in his cousin arms, she looked like she was calm and they were hugging 

How did she get into his arms, and why was his cousin hugging her back?, shouldn’t she be voilent, what is going on?

Vasilliki had so many questions running through his mind

“Uh cousin what are you doing?” He asked

“Who hit her?” Adrastos inquired 

“Huh?”

“Who hit her, why does she have an injury on her head” Adrastos turned around with Giovanna still in his arms

“Why do you care ?… it’s not like you know her “ Vasilliki said

“Why do I care? Because she’s my wife , your cousin-in-law “ Adrastos revealed 

“Wait what!!, wife? When did you get married…how come I did’nt know, and how could this crazy woman be your wife” Vasilliki bombarded 

His cousin was married?,,,,when?,,,how?

“That’s not the point how did she get this injury on her head?” Adrastos asked

“The girl’s crazy okay?..and she’s super voilent… look at the scratches on my face, see my neck I’ve got bruises all over my body and it’s her handiwork…..

…….she probably hurt herself while she was trying to attack me, I don’t hurt women” Vasilliki explained

“The blood has dried why didn’t you treat her wounds earlier, it’s probably infected by now”

“Like I said she’s crazy… I can’t even spend 5 minutes alone with her before she starts attacking me……

….I even gave her some medicine for her fever but she attacked me the next moment…I bought her from some crook how could your wife end up in the hands of a crook?”  Vasilliki folded his arms as he stared questionably at his cousin

Just as Adrastos made to reply, the little woman in his arms suddenly grabbed his hand and began gnawing it 

“What’s wrong are you hungry ….when last did she eat?” Adrastos asked Vasilliki 

“I don’t know.. I…” 

“You’ve been starving your sister-in-law?” Adrastos glared at him 

“No!! she can’t stay calm for more than 5 minutes how was I suppose to find an opportunity to feed her” Vasilliki defended himself 

“Where’s your room?” Adrastos picked up Giovanna in bridal style

“What do you need my room for?”

“Your cousin-in-law and I would like to crash at your place… so where is it…..

…you know what never mind I’ll find it myself, you go to the kitchen and make some food for us?” Adrastos said as he bang walking away

“Hey I’m not your maid.. I’m not cooking for you” Vasilliki retorted

“Okay then I’ll just tell your mom what you’ve been up to” 

“Hey that’s blackmailing “ Vasilliki yelled

“Call it what you want, the food better be ready by the time we get back?” 

With that Adrastos walked away with Giovanna in his arms, leaving Vasilliki cussing

**************************************************

Vasilliki’s Room:

Giovanna’s sat quietly on the edge of the king sized bed, the sound of running water could be heard from the bathroom

Soon Adrastos stepped out of the bathroom and walked towards here

“Time for a bath, let’s get this cloths off you then get you clean and also treat your wounds” 

Adrastos pulled down the zipper of the torn dress on her body, he helped her stand up and the dress fell to her feet.

He wrapped her up with a towel after taking off each piece of clothing off her body, before gently pulling her towards the bathroom

He lifted her and sat her down on the cubicle, he then began wiping the blood off her forehead with some cotton and disinfectant

After cleaning the wound, he placed a band aid on the it, he then helped her off the cubicle, unwrapped the towel from her body and helped her into the bath tub

He already filled the tub with hot water and a bath bomb to help her relax

“Can you bath yourself?” He asked her but she only stare blankly at him

Adrastos sighed before picking up the sponge and began scrubbing her body

As he help her bath, he tried not to stare at her body too much to prevent something unexpected from happened, It took him a lot of self control

He helped her wash her hair , then her body, the bath was going smoothly until Giovanna suddenly grabbed the shampoo and attempted to drink from the bottle

“Hey hey don’t put that in your mouth” Adrastos quickly grabbed the bottle from her and kept it away from her

He tried his best to be gentle but Giovanna was beginning to act like a child, squirming and splashing water about

“Stop doing that…. Stop it”  He snapped as he grabbed her hands pulled the bath plug allowing the water to go down the drain

Giovanna frowned seeing the water flow away. First this dude didn’t let her drink the shampoo and now he made the water go away. He is a bad man and she vowed to teach him a lesson

Adrastos had no idea about the nasty thoughts going on in Giovanna’s head. He rinsed her body of the soap and carried her out of the bathtub and walked back to the room

He dried her body with a towel and rubbed ointment on her body before dressing her with one of his shirt, the shirt was too big on her and it made do as a dress

He also wore her his drawers, she looked so small and cute in his clothes

He went back into the bathroom after drying her hair. He changed his clothes which had been soaked by Giovanna 

He changed into a casual ward before leaving the bathroom

Giovanna was in the exact same spot he left her, she had not moved an inch from that spot

“Come here let’s go eat” he beckoned and she obediently stood up and followed him out of the room

Downstairs in the kitchen, Vasilliki had just finished preparing a set of meals

While he cooked Jesse Lee had filled him on Adrastos and Giovanna’s relationship 

He shivered at the thought of how he almost bedded his cousin-in-law, if he had gotten his way, his cousin would kill him

He mentally praised Giovanna for beating him up and indirectly saving his life

Jesse Lee helped him set the dishes on the dinning table

Vasilliki made some Greek zucchini fritters, yogurt bread , some chicken and a bowl of porridge for Giovanna 

He was a good at cooking as he was at medicine

Soon Adrastos and Giovanna came down the stairs and headed for the dining room 

On seeing the arriving couple Vasilliki said 

“cousin hurry come take a seat.. I’m sure cousin-in-law is hungry, I made this special porridge just for you… I mixed fever medicine in the porridge to make it easier for her to take it” he whispered the last part of his sentence to Adrastos 

Adrastos nodded in reply and sat Giovanna on his lap before beginning to feed her

After so many days without food, she readily ate without much troubles, she ate till there was nothing left bin the bowl after which she drank three glasses of water 

With her belly full and the warmth coming from Adrastos body, Giovanna began feeling sleepy, she found a comfortable spot in his hands and let nature take its course

Seeing this Adrastos carried her “I’m not hungry so we’ll leave first” 

“Okay good night cousin “ Vassiliki said as Adratsos left the dining room with Giovanna in his arms

When they were out of sight he turned to Jesse Lee “Do you think my cousin is in love?” 

“Maybe, I’ve never seen the boss like this, maybe it’s love” Jesse Lee replied

The two men continued gossiping as they ate

Vassiliki room

The lights were tuned off and the only source of light was from the moon that shone through the window

Two figures lay on the king sized bed , one was deep in sleep while the other was just beginning to doze off

Adrastos had his arms wrapped around Giovanna , breathing in her scent and relishing the moment

His heart was now at peace, he could finally sleep without worrying. His little trouble maker was back in his arms

She’s safe in arms and he would not let her go again

He placed a kiss on the side of her head before falling asleep with a gentle smile on his face 

**************************************************

4:00 am

Adrastos was fast asleep and snoring away when he felt a grip tighten around his neck

The grip wasn’t strong but was enough to make him uncomfortable 

He opened his eyes and in the darkness he saw Giovanna sitting on his torso whit her hands wrapped around his neck, trying to strangle him in his sleep

“What is the meaning of this, stop this and go back to sleep” his voice carried a trace of annoyance 

But Giovanna didn’t listen she instead tightened her grip on his throat

Out of patience, Adrastos flipped over with her beneath him

“Listen here little trouble you better go back to sleep on your own don’t make me force you back to sleep” he warned 

But Giovanna wasn’t one to listen, she found his hand in the darkness and began viciously biting him 

In retaliation Adrastos bent his head and big down on her neck, sucking on the delicate skin

Giovanna gasped letting go of his hand but he didn’t stop, She has been naughty all through the day and now it’s time to be disciplined 

By the time he would be done, Giovanna would be left breathless with lips swollen, bite marks and brain muddled
